U.S. INTERNATIONAL AIRFREIGHT TRAFFIC UP 9 PERCENT IN JANUARY
U.S. international freight and express traffic increased by 9.4 percent in January, when compared to a year earlier, according to statistics published by the U.S. Air Transport Association.
International freight and express traffic carried by the association’s member airlines was 835 million revenue ton-miles in January, up from 763 million in January 2002.
Air Transport Association members are Alaska, Aloha, America West, American, American Trans Air, Continental, Continental Micronesia, Delta, Emery, FedEx, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Midwest Express, Northwest, Southwest, United, UPS and U.S. Airways.
