U.S. Lines to make ANZL weekly

Santa Ana, Calif.-based U.S. Lines will in October upgrade its recently started U.S. West Coast/Australasia/Far East ANZL service to fixed-day weekly now that all eight ships of about 1,100 TEUs are operational.

“All vessels have either arrived or are scheduled to arrive in both New Zealand and Australia on time. We are committed to the trade and to providing a punctual fixed-day, weekly service that our customers can depend upon,” said Ed Aldridge, USL’s president and chief executive officer.

The ANZL service started in August and has a port rotation of Los Angeles, Tauranga, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Shekou, Hong Kong and back to Los Angeles.

ANL Container Line, the Australian liner subsidiary of France’s CMA CGM, takes slots on the ANZL.
