U.S. SENATE FORMS HOMELAND SECURITY SUBCOMMITTEE
The U.S. Senate’s Appropriations Committee has created a new Homeland Security subcommittee chaired by Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss.
The new sub-panel’s ranking Democrat is Sen. Robert Byrd, W.Va. Cochran gave up his chairmanship of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry committee to chair the Homeland Security subcommittee.
