U.S. ships 150,000 pounds of medical supplies to Iran’s earthquake victims

   The U.S. government will ship more than 150,000 pounds of medical supplies to aid victims in Iran’s earthquake-ravaged city Bam.

   The earthquake occurred on Dec. 26, killing and injuring thousands of people.

   The U.S. military will transport the medical supplies to Iran from military bases in Kuwait.

   “The United States will continue to work with Iranian authorities and international relief organizations to help the people of Iran during this challenging time,” the U.S. State Department said in statement.
