U.S. SOUTH EUROPE CONFERENCE LOWERS BUNKER CHARGE
The U.S. South Europe Conference, a rate-making agreement in the U.S./Mediterranean trade, will reduce its bunker charge, effective April 1.
The revised fuel charges will be $80 per 20-foot container and $160 per 40-foot box from the current $106 and $212 repectively.
The carriers of the U.S. South Europe Conference are Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Sealand and P&O Nedlloyd. The conference said that Hapag-Lloyd joined in January.
