U.S. TRADE AGENCY PLANS SECURITY FORUM IN THAILAND
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency, based in Arlington, Va., said Monday the U.S. government will sponsor a conference “to promote secure trade and transportation” Feb. 23-25 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The conference will focus on the Secure Trade in the APEC Region (STAR) Initiative proposed the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation Secretariat (APEC) last October.
Invitees include members of APEC, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the U.S. Export-Import Bank, and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
