UAL Corp. delays reorganization plan
At the request of its official committee of unsecured creditors, bankrupt UAL Corp., parent company of United Airlines, said Tuesday it is delaying filing its reorganization plan and other documents “in order to provide an additional opportunity to continue collaborating on and reviewing the complex, extensive documents as part of the overall confirmation process.”
The airline has been operating under Chapter 11 protection since the end of 2002, and last week posted a second quarter net loss of $1.43 billion, which included $1.39 billion in reorganization items.
