UASC starts Asia/Middle East service
United Arab Shipping Co. is starting a weekly container service between Asia and the Middle East in March, with Senator Lines joining as slot charterer.
The “Asia Gulf Express” link will commence when the first vessel departs from Singapore on March 10. The “AGX” service will use three ships of about 1,600 TEUs and call at Singapore, Port Kelang, Jebel Ali, Khor Fakkan and back to Singapore.
According to the global liner-shipping database ComPairData, UASC and Senator Lines already cooperate on four services in the Asia/Europe, Asia/Middle East and Europe/Middle East trades.
