UASC SWITCHES PORTS ON ASIA/EUROPE LINK
United Arab Shipping Co. has replaced Hakata with a new call at Yantian on its weekly Asia/Europe AEC service as part of the United Alliance.
The first call at Yantian will be made on Nov. 6. by the vessel “Abu Dhabi”.
The weekly AEC service uses 10 ships of 3,802 TEU capacity and the revised port rotation is Rotterdam, Thamesport, Hamburg, Antwerp, Gioia Tauro, Jeddah, Jebel Ali, Khor Fakkan, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Busan, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Jeddah, Gioia Tauro, Rotterdam, Thamesport, Hamburg and Antwerp.
Hapag-Lloyd takes space on the Europe/Mideast and Indian subcontinent leg of the AEC service.
The United Alliance consists of Hanjin Shipping and Senator Lines with UASC joining in the Mideast trades to Asia, Europe and North America.
