UKRAINE INTERNATIONAL CONTRACTS WITH PACE AIRLINE MANAGEMENT
Ukraine International Airlines has awarded a contract to Pace Airline Management to act as its global general cargo sales agent, after volumes and revenues in 2001 reached an all-time high for the Kiev-based carrier.
The new agreement will extend the working relationship between the two companies to more than 10 years. Ukraine first began working with Pace in 1993.
“We carried more than 2,500 tons of cargo in 2001, a 12-percent increase over the previous year and an all-time high for UIA,” said Vladimir Semenchenko, UIA cargo director.
UIA predicts higher cargo revenues for 2002, with a new direct road service to Minsk, Belarus, and the launch of X-PS, a door-to-door express service to downtown Kiev.
