UKRAINE INTERNATIONAL STARTS WEEKLY ZURICH FLIGHTS
Ukraine International Airlines on Sunday began direct weekly flights from Kiev to Zurich, in cooperation with Swiss Air Lines a new airline launched this March.
The Boeing 737 flights can carry up to 1,000 kilograms of cargo.
“We will be signing a special probate agreement with Swiss Air Lines, allowing us to benefit from their network of 126 destinations worldwide, and further boost UIA’s cargo traffic,” said Vladimir Semenchenko, UIA cargo director.
Ukraine International Airlines carried more than 2,500 tons of cargo in 2001, a 12 percent increase over 2000, and an all-time high for the airline.
