UNION-TRANSPORT FORMS GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP WITH LUFTHANSA
International forwarder Union-Transport, based in California, has signed a global partnership agreement with Lufthansa Cargo, the world’s largest international air freight carrier.
U-T had been working with Lufthansa as a local partner in Germany under the carrier’s Business Partnership Program launched in 1998.
In global partnership, U-T and Lufthansa will act “as a single virtual integrator: two reliable logistics companies acting as one organization for customers,” the forwarder said.
The two companies are implementing the partnership in the United States, Germany and India and will add other world markets.
“Cooperation across many different cultures, as well as an understanding of the major business functions and their integration at the partner’s corporation, are cornerstones of a successful partnership,” U-T said. “Collaborative employee education and development programs are key elements of the partnership’s success.”
