UPS BEGINS HONG KONG/PHILIPPINES FLIGHTS
United Parcel Service has initiated direct air service between Hong Kong and its Asia hub in the Philippines.
The U.S. Department of Transportation granted UPS interim authority to expand its service in Hong Kong and the global parcel delivery company has applied for permanent authority to maintain 18 new flight schedules.
The new Hong Kong cargo flights begin less than a year after UPS opened its intra-Asia hub at the former Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines.
