UPS BUNDLES SERVICES OF SUPPLY CHAIN SUBSIDIARIES

UPS, the Atlanta-based express shipping giant, said Wednesday it has formed UPS Supply Chain Solutions, which combines the sales, marketing and technology resources for its supply chain subsidiaries.

The new entity offers customers the combined services of UPS Logistics Group, UPS Freight Services (including Fritz Cos.), UPS Capital, UPS Consulting and UPS Mail Innovations. The combined resources provide supply chain design and management, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, mail services, multimodal transportation, consulting and financial services.

'These combined resources will allow customers to tap our global physical and technology infrastructure for broader, deeper solutions across the supply chain,' said Joe Pyne, UPS senior vice president and head of Supply Chain Solutions.

UPS's supply chain subsidiaries, developed over several years of acquisitions and geographic expansions, provide more than $2 billion in annual revenues and operate in more than 120 countries.

Dan DiMaggio, formerly chief executive officer of UPS Logistics Group, has been named to direct UPS Supply Chain Solutions' global sales, marketing and solutions teams.
