UPS EMPLOYEES RATIFY LATEST TEAMSTER CONTRACT
UPS, the Atlanta-based parcel carrier and provider of supply chain solutions, said Friday that UPS employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters have approved a new six-year contract negotiated in July.
The Teamsters reported that the UPS pact, covering 230,000 employees, had been ratified by a margin of more than 70 percent.
Mike Eskew, UPS chairman and chief executive officer, called the contract “a fair and balanced agreement.”
UPS and the Teamsters started negotiations last January and reached an agreement on July 16, two weeks before the old contract expired.
