USCIB appoints Walker to international tax counsel

   The U.S. Council for International Business has appointed Lynda K. Walker to vice president and international tax counsel, effective June 5.

   Walker has extensive experience as a public policy attorney. She served as tax counsel and financial advisor to Sen. John Heinz, who was a member of the Senate Finance Committee. While operating her own firm, she advised numerous trade and policy groups on a range of legislative and regulatory issues.

   Walker replaces Richard M. Hammer who will retire at the end of June after 13 years with USCIB. Before joining the association, Hammer spent nearly 40 years with the global accounting firm PrcewaterhouseCoopers, including 25 years as a partner.
