USDA SEEKS COMMENTS ON SETTING INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service said it’s taking comments from the industry on setting international sanitary and phytosanitary standards.
The agency’s proposed standards will be considered by international standard-setting organizations, such as the Office International des Epizooties, the Secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention, and the North American Plant Protection Organization, in the coming year.
