USDA SETS $150 LICENSE FEE FOR IMPORTERS OF DAIRY PRODUCTS UNDER QUOTA

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service has imposed a $150 license fee for importers of dairy products under tariff rate quotas in 2002.

Licenses are issued on a calendar year basis, and each license authorizes the license holder to import a specified quantity and type of dairy product from a specified country of origin. The Foreign Agricultural Service expects to issue about 2,600 licenses in 2002.
