USF WORLDWIDE MANAGES AIRCRAFT PARTS PROGRAM FOR BOEING, RAF
USF Worldwide, the freight forwarding subsidiary of USFreightways, said it has developed an asset management program for The Boeing Co. in conjunction with the delivery of four Boeing C-17 Globemaster aircraft to the Royal Air Force in the United Kingdom.
The RAF is leasing the military transport aircraft from Boeing. The first plane was delivered in late May
USF Worldwide's asset management program includes shipping of aircraft parts and support equipment to the United Kingdom for maintenance and repair of the C-17 as well as parts returns to military depots or manufacturers in the United States. In Britain, USF Worldwide's London office coordinates expedited customs clearance and delivery of C-17 shipments to the aircraft's home station, RAF Brize Norton.
