USFREIGHTWAYS SEEKS NAME CHANGE
USFreightways Corp. will ask approval from its shareholders to change its name to USF Corp.
Samuel K. Skinner, chairman and chief executive officer of USFreightways, said the new name would reflect its expanded operations beyond hauling freight. The company has operated as USFreightways Corp. since 1996.
