USSAC TO RAISE SOUTHBOUND RATES
The U.S.-Southern Africa Conference will raise southbound rates by $50 per 20-foot container and $100 for 40-foot container, effective Jan. 15.
Rates in this sector of the trade have declined sharply in recent years despite rising costs, the conference said.
USSAC members are Maersk-Sealand, Mediterranean Shipping Co. and Safmarine Container Lines.
