Vancouver Port Authority elects Morgan-Silvester as chair

The Vancouver Port Authority in Canada has elected Sarah Morgan-Silvester as its new chair, replacing George A. Adams, whose term expired on March 17.

   Morgan-Silvester joined the VPA’s board in March 2004, and is serving her second term of three years, ending Feb. 28, 2010. She most recently served in the positions of member of the Audit Committee and chair of the Governance Committee. She is also chair of the Port Amalgamation Transition Committee, which is responsible for overseeing the integration of Vancouver’s three lower mainland ports.
