Varshney named head of MarAd’s central region office
The U.S. Maritime Administration has appointed Deepak Varshney to director of its central regional office in New Orleans.
Varshney has served as interim director of this office since the recent retirement of John Carnes. He joined MarAd in 1992 as the ship operations and maintenance officer for the agency in New Orleans.
