VECTOR SCM SELECTS DESCARTES SOLUTION TO MANAGE OCEAN CONTRACTS

   Vector SCM, a fourth-party logistics and lead logistics service provider for General Motors, has contracted with the Descartes Systems Group Inc., for software to manage Vector’s ocean carrier contracts.

   Vector, with a network of more than 100,000 TEUs and 800 lane combinations per year, will use Descartes Ocean Contract Management solution to automate processes for carrier selection, negotiation and rate retrieval.

   Descartes Systems Group Inc. is based in Waterloo, Ontario.
