Vietnam Airlines to buy four Boeing 787 Dreamliners
Boeing and Vietnam Airlines Tuesday signed a firm agreement for the purchase of four 787-8 “Dreamliners” airplanes. The agreement also includes purchase rights for 11 additional airplanes between 2010 and 2013.
The four 787 airplanes are valued at $500 million at list prices, and are scheduled to be delivered to Vietnam Airlines in 2009 and 2010.
Vietnam Airlines’ entire long-range fleet is comprised of Boeing airplanes, including seven 777-200ER aircraft and three of the 767-300ER planes.
