Virgin Atlantic Cargo takes management of express product in-house
Virgin Atlantic Cargo said Thursday it has taken over management of its express product, VEX, in New York and New Jersey.
VEX had been under the management of Airmax International, a New York-based logistics support services company. Airmax was hired in October of last year to oversee VEX's transition into an in-house product. Prior to that, Air Cargo Partners had managed VAC's express product for 10 years.
Jack Fiol, senior vice president of cargo, North America, for Virgin Atlantic Cargo, commended Airmax for the work done in the four-month transition period, but noted it was time to bring the product in house.
VAC “can now extend this service directly to customers offering fast, reliable and personalized service for which Virgin Atlantic Cargo are already known,” Fiol said.
