VIRGIN ATLANTIC EXPANDS OPERATIONS TO CARIBBEAN
Virgin Atlantic Airways on Monday said it will start direct weekly services between London Gatwick and Tobago and Grenada starting next May, in addition to offering weekly flights from Manchester to Barbados this winter.
The new weekly London/Tobago and Grenada route will depart Monday mornings using a Boeing 747. The carrier said the additional routes will bring the number of Virgin Atlantic destinations in the Caribbean to 21.
“The additional routes will allow us to strengthen our presence in this challenging marketplace,” said John Lloyd, director of cargo.
