Virgin Atlantic to increase London/Cape Town winter season flights
Virgin Atlantic Airways said Friday it will increase its twice-weekly service between London and Cape Town to five per week for the winter season.
The scheduled twice-weekly service between Heathrow and Cape Town will increase to three services per week between Dec.7 and Jan. 25 and will then increase to a five-weekly service from Jan. 29 until the end of the peak winter season on Mar. 25.
Virgin Atlantic said flights in December and January will be operated by a Boeing 747-400 aircraft, and after Jan. 29, flights will be operated with an Airbus 340-300 plane.
