VIRGIN TO LAUNCH DELHI SERVICE
Virgin Atlantic Airways, the U.K.-based combination airline, will launch B747 flights to Delhi, India, from London via a code-share agreement with Air India, starting in July.
Virgin’s cargo department will offer lower-deck, widebody freight capacity on the twice-weekly service.
Flights will depart London Heathrow on Wednesdays and Fridays at night, arriving in Delhi at noon the next day. The return flights depart Delhi on Thursdays and Saturdays in the early afternoon, arriving at Heathrow that night. A third weekly flight is planned for this October.
