WAN HAI PREDICTS GROWTH IN REVENUES
Wan Hai, the Taiwanese intra-Asia and transpacific carrier, said that a combination of increased volumes and higher rates would boost its operating revenues by more than 10 percent this year.
Jason Lee, chief financial officer of Wan Hai, said that intra-Asian freight rates have “increased somewhat,” and “volumes continue to be strong.”
In the last few months, Wan Hai has also introduced ships of about 2,700-TEU capacity in the transpacific trade, replacing smaller vessels of 1,600 TEUs.
