WCA starts project cargo forwarder network
The World Cargo Alliance Family of Logistics Networks has developed a freight forwarder network that specializes in handling project cargoes.
The new network, which will be managed from WCA Family’s headquarters in Bangkok, will include project forwarders along with specialized service providers such as heavy-haul contractors, rigging and erecting companies, ocean and air charter carriers, terminals and other project-related enterprises. Membership will cover every world region.
“There is a genuine need for a viable association of project cargo service companies,” said David Yokeum, president of WCA Family and chairman of the new project forwarder network. “No real resource currently exists for these organizations to locate qualified partners to work with on these complicated movements.”
Heino Winkler, a 35-year industry veteran, has been named president of WCA Projects Network.
