Weekend construction to impact 3 Southern California terminals

As part of a $65 million construction project near in the Ports of Long Beach, a key interchange at the center of Terminal Island will be shut down from 7 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, while construction crews reconnect the newly reconstructed eastbound traffic lanes from a detour road back onto Ocean Boulevard, the port said Wednesday.

   Access to Total Terminals International, a Marine Terminals Corp.-Hanjin container terminal, will come from the Long Beach (710) Freeway side only. Access to two Port of Los Angeles terminals, Yusen and Evergreen, will also be restricted over the weekend.
