Westwood, Star Shipping to cooperate in Pacific trade
Tacoma-based Westwood Shipping Lines and Norway’s Star Shipping, two operators of multipurpose ships, are planning to cooperate in the transpacific container trade.
Under a sailing and space charter agreement filed with the Federal Maritime Commission, the two shipping lines said they plan to operate a service and share space in the trade between the U.S. and Canadian Pacific coasts and ports in Japan, Korea and China.
