WILSON LOGISTICS EXPANDS LEGO CONTRACT, PROMOTES MANAGERS
Wilson Logistics Group, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, has signed a three-year contract to become Lego’s preferred logistics service provider in the United States. The pact expands an existing alliance between Lego and Wilson that now includes Asia Pacific traffic to the United States and Canada.
In New Zealand, Titan Plant Services Inc., has selected Wilson as its logistics service provider. Titan distributes Volvo vehicles and construction equipment.
In Finland, the TDK Group has expanded its contracts with Wilson to include a shipping zone extending from Helsinki to Luxembourg.
Wilson has recently moved into new offices in Atlanta, San Francisco, and Miami. On Feb. 1, Wilson’s facility at JFK Airport in New York will relocate to 182-23 150th Avenue in Jamaica, N.Y., adjacent to the airport. The company’s headquarters for the Americas region is in Clark, N.J.
Wilson has also announced a series of promotions. Dean Devasia has been appointed manager, commercial information technology services for Wilson USA. He had been an information technology service support specialist in Elizabeth, N.J.
The company has appointed Bjorn Palsson managing director of Wilson Logistics in Singapore. Palsson had been branch manager for Wilson Logistics AB in Gothenburg.
In Brazil, Eduardo Lopes has been appointed director of business development in Latin America. He was Wilson’s executive director for South America.
Wilson also has appointed Michael Squadrille director of business development for North America. He had been director of business development for the United States.
