WILSON TO SUCCEED DRESCHER AT COLUMBUS LINE AUSTRALIA PTY
Achim Drescher, a 40-year veteran of Hamburg Sud and Columbus Line, will step down as managing director of Columbus Line Australia Pty Ltd., effective Jan. 1.
Drescher will be succeeded by Greg Wilson, managing director of Columbus Line New Zealand Ltd. He joined Columbus Line in Sydney in 1986. In his new position, he will coordinate the company's operations in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific island nations.
Klaus Meves, executive chairman of the Hamburg Sud group, the parent company of Columbus Line, said he has invited Drescher to become chairman (non-executive) of Columbus Line Australia Pty Ltd.
