Wincanton reshuffles board of directors
Wincanton plc, the British logistics service provider, has announced three boardroom changes.
Ernest Zeida, managing director, group services, has retired from the board after 20 years with Wincanton. As part of an internal re-organization, Wincanton is allocating the separate functions within group services directly to its business units.
Dr. Walter Hasselkus is appointed to the board as a non-executive director with effect from Jan. 1. Hasselkus, 61, is a German national and has held senior level positions in BMW, where he was on the board of management and also chairman and chief executive of Rover Group. He is currently a non-executive director of DAF Trucks NV and holds a number of other senior positions.
Nigel Sullivan is appointed to the board as group human resources director from Jan. 1. He joined Wincanton in November 2002 and previously held senior roles in human resources at Nortel Networks and at Marconi plc.
