WINWOOD TO PROMOTE C-TPAT TO INDUSTRY
Former U.S. Customs Deputy Commissioner Charles W. Winwood will head a series of seminars to explain the benefits of shipper participation in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism.
Winwood, who leads the border security team at Washington-based Sandler & Travis Trade Advisory Services, helped to develop C-TPAT in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The half-day seminars are schedule for Feb. 7 in Miami, March 7 in Los Angeles, April 11 in Chicago, and May 8 in New York.
