The 2019 Top Woman-owned Business winners were recognized at the Women In Trucking Accelerate! Conference & Expo in Dallas on Oct. 1.

The companies recognized all are majority owned by women and have demonstrated financial stability and growth, innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit, according to the Women In Trucking Association.
Brian Everett, head of strategy and management for Women In Trucking, said the editorial staff at Redefining the Road magazine considered things like flexible work schedules, work-life balance and opportunities for growth when considering the nominees for the 2019 Top Companies for Women to Work for in Transportation.
This was the second year for the award, also presented at the Accelerate! Conference & Expo.
“Last year we had a little over 7,000 votes within the industry,” Everett said. “This year we had over 10,500 votes — incredible. … There’s so much momentum. There’s a wave of excitement within the industry to support and recognize companies that are doing some great work to support gender diversity.”
