WITASS to lower Trinidad congestion surcharge
Member lines of the Association of West India Transatlantic Steamship Lines said Friday they will lower their congestion surcharge for westbound and eastbound calls at the Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Effective from the first sailings in July, the U.S. dollar-denominated surcharge will be $26 (from $43) for TEUs and $52 (from $86) for FEUs. The euro-denominated surcharge will be 22 euros (from 36 euros) for TEUs and 44 euros (from 72 euros) for FEUs.
Members of WITASS are CMA-CGM, CSAV, Hamburg-Sud and Hapag-Lloyd.
