WOODWARD APPOINTED FAA ASSOCIATE ADMINISTRATOR FOR AIRPORTS

   Woodie Woodward has been appointed associate administrator for airports for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.

      Woodward will report directly to the FAA Administrator Norman Mineta, and will be responsible for national airport planning, including safety standards, design and engineering.

   Prior to this appointment, Woodward had held positions at the FAA for the past 13 years, after serving as chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Mack Mattingly.
