Yang Ming adds capacity to PSW-2 Pacific link
Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. will increase the capacity of its PSW-2 service within the “CKYH” global alliance and add a call at Yantian.
Starting in April the Taiwanese carrier will replace its five 3,400-TEU vessels in the service with five 4,900-TEU ships.
The PSW-2 service's port rotation will also be adjusted in April to include a call in Yantian, after Hong Kong, with a second call at Hong Kong en route to Kaohsiung. The revised rotation will be: Hong Kong, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Keelung, Los Angeles, Oakland, Keelung, Kaohsiung and Hong Kong.
Yang Ming will have a basic slot allocation on this service, under the slot-swap agreement within the alliance, of 3,675 TEUs eastbound and 3,550 TEUs westbound.
The “CKYH” alliance comprises COSCO Container Lines, “K” Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping.
