Yang Ming elects Huang chairman
Yang Ming Marine’s board of directors has elected its president W.H. Huang, as the new chairman replacing Frank F.H. Lu.
Lu left Yang Ming to take up the same role with China Shipbuilding Corp.
Huang joined Yang Ming in 1975. In his opening address as chairman, Huang asked employees “to get ready to face the likely difficulties in the marine industry and insist on the company’s strategy to provide global and diversified services,” Yang Ming said in a statement.
“On the basis of the current solid foundation, we will become more competitive and our operational revenue will be expected to exceed NT$100 billion ($3 billion) very soon,” Huang said.
