Yang Ming to join Wan Hai’s Asia/Middle East/Indian subcontinent loop

   Yang Ming will take space on fellow Taiwanese carrier Wan Hai’s weekly Asia/Middle East/Indian subcontinent China Middle East Service-CMS from the start of next month.

   Yang Ming will join the CMS loop with the departure of the vessel “Conti Esperance” from Shanghai Oct. 4.

   The CMS uses six ships averaging 2,289 TEUs and has a port rotation of: Shanghai; Dalian; Xingang; Qingdao; Ningbo; Hong Kong; Shekou; Singapore; Port Kelang; Dubai, Jebel Ali; Karachi; Nhava Sheva; Tuticorin, India; Port Kelang; Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.

   Yang Ming’s CKYH alliance partners COSCO Container Lines, “K” Line and Hanjin Shipping announced yesterday that they will start October a joint weekly service linking South China with the Middle East called SMX.
