YANGMING PHASES IN 5,500-TEU SHIP ON ASIA/EUROPE ROUTE
Yangming Line has phased in another 5,500-TEU post-Panamax containership into its joint Asia/northern Europe weekly service with China Ocean Shipping Co. and “K” Line.
The “Ming Orchid,” the second of Yangming’s new post-Panamax vessels, has joined the Asia Express Service, which calls at Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe and Antwerp.
In the 7-ship Asia Express Service service, the new 5,500-TEU ship replaced the “Ming Gemima,” a 3,600-TEU vessel, according to the ComPairData liner shipping database.
Yangming, COSCO and “K” Line operate three joint weekly services between Asia and northern Europe, as part of an alliance.
Details of all the liner services of all carriers in the Asia/Europe trade, including their ports of call, transit times and vessel employed, are posted on ComPairData at http://www.compairdata.com.
