Zim adds Xiamen to ZCS service

   Zim Israel Navigation Co. is adding the Chinese port of Xiamen to its weekly North America/Asia/Mediterranean “ZCS” pendulum service.

   The vessel “Zim Panama” will make the first call at Xiamen on Sept. 23.

   The “ZCS” service uses 15 ships averaging 3,953 TEUs. China Shipping Container Lines and Great Western Steamship Co. both take space on the service between Asia and North America.

   The revised port rotation of the “ZCS” is Halifax, Nova Scotia; New York, N.Y.; Savannah, Ga.; Kingston, Jamaica; Panama City, Panama; Los Angeles, Calif.; Xiamen; Shekou; Hong Kong; Keelung; Busan; Osaka; Yokohama; Los Angeles; Panama City; Kingston; Savannah; New York; Halifax; Barcelona; Haifa; Piraeus; Leghorn; Barcelona and back to Halifax.
