Zim service to call Halifax

The Port of Halifax said the liner shipping company Zim will add a new call this month on its Zim Container Service Atlantic, or ZCA, service.
The port said it expected the 4,250-TEU vessel Zim Texas to call Halifax on July 19 as part of the new westbound port rotation from Haifa on July 3.
Transit times from Tarragona to Halifax is seven days, and eight days from Genoa and 14 days from Haifa.
The service is operated with six 4,250-TEU vessels and the service will use the Halterm Terminal at Halifax.
Port rotation of the ZCA includes Haifa, Piraeus, Genoa, Tarragona, Halifax, New York, Savannah, Kingston, Tarragona and Haifa.
Zim also calls at the Halterm Terminal with its ZCP service, covering Asia, and the west and east Coasts of the United States and Canada. – Chris Dupin
